Phillip Baker

Dr Phillip Baker is a Research Fellow at the School of Regulation and Global Governance at the Australian National University (ANU), Canberra. He has a masters degree in nutrition science from the University of Auckland and a doctorate in population health (health policy) from the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health, ANU. His research focuses on understanding the politics of food and nutrition, in particular the factors that generate and impede political priority for nutrition actions. His areas of expertise span nutritional epidemiology, food and nutrition policy, globalization and food systems, the political economy of public health and political science methodology. He has taught previously at the Crawford School of Public Policy on global health policy and governance.
