Goal: To improve patient care by increasing the impact and reach of obesity medical education
Meeting objective: To create better understanding of existing medical education programs, potential gaps in reach or content, facilitate the creation of new programmed and find opportunities for enhanced collaboration
Meeting outcomes:
- Understanding the importance of medical education in obesity, alongside the protocols, and best practices of medical education
- A holistic overview of existing successful medical education programmes, both in the field of obesity and those addressing other Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs)
- Clear insights into the challenges of establishing new medical education programmes and how to overcome them
- A plan to harness expertise of existing networks and groups in the creation of medical education programmes
