Walking for obesity in Singapore
The Singapore Association for the Study of Obesity (SASO) hosted a hugely successful Walk for Obesity event this 4 March.
As well as a waterfront walk, the Association facilitated health screening sessions for participants in its marquee.
The walk took a 3.4km route around the picturesque Marina Bay Area, with a view to promoting physical activity and a healthy lifestyle.
Interactive booths, games and activities on weight management and healthy lifestyle were available for participants, as well as a goody bag.
Importantly, healthcare experts from hospitals across Singapore were at hand for participants to ask questions on weight management and address misconceptions. An on-site free health screening with point of care tests for Diabetes, Hypertension and High cholesterol was also available.
