Two new Medscape activities available
World Obesity has partnered with Medscape Education to develop two additional educational activities which form part of the curriculum "Treating Obesity as a Chronic Disease: Novel Insights and Strategies".
The first activity, "Obesity & Weight Loss: Can Cross-Functional Collaboration & Integrated Care Work in Practice?", features obesity experts including Dr David B. Sarwer, editor of our journal Obesity Science & Practice, and Dr Robert Kushner, a member of World Obesity's Clinical Care Committee. The goal of this activity is to improve/maintain physician competency in the management of obesity, including unmet patient needs and the application of new treatment paradigms, and to increase awareness of emerging data on new therapeutic options. This activity has been accredited with 0.5 SCOPE points which count towards SCOPE Certification, and can be accessed here.
The second activity, "Tackling Obesity: Proven Strategies for Sustained Weight Loss", features Dr Arya Sharma, another member of World Obesity's Clinical Care Committee. The goal of this activity is to improve physicians' knowledge regarding the causes and consequences of obesity, and strategies for effective weight reduction. The activity can be accessed here.
We believe you will find these activities beneficial and insightful, and look forward to sharing more resources with you in the coming weeks!
