The management and treatment of obesity in children and youth

Our sixth policy dossier on the management and treatment of obesity in children and youth is live!

Supported by the 3rd Health Programme of the European Commission, our Policy and Advocacy Team has been working on launching an evidence database through the compilation of policy dossiers. The aim of the dossiers is to support policymakers, NGOs and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of policies. They include summaries and links to a series of systematic reviews, cost-effectiveness studies, advocacy reports, recommendations, stakeholder position statements and other resources which may be of use.

On Thursday 19 September, we released our sixth policy dossier focused on the management and treatment of obesity in children and youth. For this occasion, we hosted a webinar focused on presenting the recommendations and considerations established by the World Obesity Federation, discuss inequalities in childhood obesity treatment, different lifestyle and behavioural interventions in the treatment of childhood obesity as well as emerging interventions to treat childhood obesity.
