Gasol Foundation launches new music video for World Day for Physical Activity
On the occasion of the World Day for Physical Activity (the past 6th of April), the Gasol Foundation launched a new music video for Spanish singer Macaco’s song “Bailo la pena”, with the participation of Gasol Foundation’s our co-founders Pau and Marc Gasol together with people and various groups from all ages.
Through this initiative we wanted to highlight the association between physical activity and emotional well-being and to promote physical activity among children -6 out of every 10 kids and teenagers in Spain don’t comply with/meet the recommendations of the World Health Organization, a situation that is aggravated in the female population and in adolescence (PASOS study, 2019).
With the purpose of activating the child and youth population in mind, our collaboration with Macaco seeks to promote an inclusive and sustainable physical activity that minimises social and gender inequalities, that doesn't discriminate against any kid because of their physical condition or background.
