European Childhood Obesity Group (ECOG) Congress
World Obesity Director of Policy and Programmes, Dr Hannah Brinsden, was invited to speak in the session on ‘From national to global action’ at the annual congress of the ECOG group in Vichy this month.
She showcased the work that we are currently doing, as well as the STOP and CO-CREATE projects, which both focus on childhood obesity and bring different perspectives. This congress brings together childhood obesity professionals and academics from around Europe and globally, and included delegates from WHO Euro, EASO, STOP Project partners, the deputy chair of our Clinical Care Committee, Dr Marie-Laure Frelut, and the editor of Pediatric Obesity, Prof. Michael I Goran.
The World Obesity Federation has a long-standing working relationship with ECOG, most notably on the childhood obesity learning path through our education programme, SCOPE.
