2024 in review: Icelandic Society for the Study of Obesity
It has been an eventful year for the Icelandic Society for the Study of Obesity (FFO).
The Icelandic Society for the Study of Obesity has been working during this year to continue with opening the discussion on obesity being a chronic disease and advocating for the rights and the needs of patients, along with the need of multi-layer health care.
We published an article in a local newspaper, which you can read here, and hosted two seminars this year - one updating members after the European Congress on Obesity held in Venice, and then a educational lecture on positive psychology and mindfulness when treating patients with obesity or other chronic disease.
We are currently working on updating the healthcare guidelines for both children and adults.
