Sara Salehian

Sara is Head of Partnerships at the World Obesity Federation where she plays a key role in building transformative partnerships and long-lasting relationships that are collaborative and mission aligned.

Sara brings with her a decade of experience in building and harnessing multi-layered strategic partnerships for social impact, she has worked in a range of organisations in the health and social impact space including British Lung Foundation and Terrence Higgins Trust. From these roles she brings experience in engaging funders with health conditions that are complex and often stigmatised. This has engendered an ethos that empathy and understanding of lived experience must be at the forefront of intervention design.

Sara holds a Bachelors degree in History and Politics from the University of Warwick and is also a graduate of the University of Law. She has a long-standing interest in social change, having spent a year supporting on casework and policy for the office of David Lammy MP.
